Call of Duty Slipstream Leaked

In the run up to a potential Call of Duty Vanguard announcement, it seems that Activision is testing the game under the codename Slipstream. According to Charlie Intel citing BlizzTrack, which tracks updates to Activision’s Battle.net service, this is likely an internal alpha playable by developers and not the general public. In addition to this, artwork has leaked as well.

Previously it was reported that Activision would reveal Call of Duty Vanguard officially after E3 2021 and that it might likely be done in Call of Duty Warzone itself. Vanguard will reportedly feature campaign, zombies, and multiplayer modes that will be set in European and Pacific areas of World War II. The game’s plot will focus on modern allied Special Forces. Call of Duty: Vanguard will launch on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.

Similar to Black Ops Cold War, Vanguard may bring new content for Warzone. Sledgehammer’s plans feature a new map for Warzone, which will be game’s biggest and most ambitious map. The new map seems to be in the Pacific theatre of World War II and it could be much larger than Verdansk. Warzone will also get new vehicles as well as tech upgrades that will benefit players in the huge Pacific map.

Call of Duty is one of the few franchises in India that is able to sell exceptionally well despite Activision not making Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War available in India officially. So much so that it was the best-selling game of the PS5 India launch. How Vanguard is received will be of interest, particularly since the World War II setting has been done to death at this point.
