Chinchou’s shiny form is available in Pokémon Go as it was introduced back in April 2020 for the Liverpool Safari Zone event. However, Chinchou is not a very common Pokémon to see in the wild, unless there’s a water-type event, so make the most of November 9th’s Spotlight Hour and get collecting those Angler Pokémon en masse.
Pokémon Go Spotlight Hour November 9 — Shiny Chinchou
Chinchou will be the featured Pokémon for the duration of the November 9th Spotlight Hour, and will appear much more frequently than usual. This means this is your best chance of catching yourself a shiny Chinchou variant. While there is no guarantee of obtaining a shiny, and the shiny odds are nothing like that of a Community Day, you will still have a higher chance than usual.
When is Pokémon Go Spotlight Hour?
Spotlight Hour takes place every Tuesday between the hours of 6 and 7pm local time. As it is only an hour long, you don’t have a massive amount of time to catch a shiny Chinchou, so make sure you’re ready to go when 6 o’clock hits!
Shiny Lanturn – How to evolve shiny Chinchou
If you are lucky enough to catch – or already have – one or two shiny Chinchou, then you can evolve one into a shiny Lanturn as well. All you need to evolve Chinchou, shiny or otherwise, is 50 Chinchou candies, which will be more than easy to gather during Spotlight Hour.
Shiny Vullaby Pokémon Go
Another featured shiny at the moment is Vullaby. The Diapered Pokémon’s shiny variant has been introduced as part of the current Team Go Rocket event in game.
