Samsung issues a strong warning to leakers

Leaks are a major part of the industry, it is even common with the smartphone industry. Weeks or even months before a new smartphone arrives, there are multiple leaks and speculations. Leaks are common with flagships of certain series. Samsung and Apple’s flagships usually suffer the most from leaks. For instance, we still have about three months before the launch of the iPhone 13 series, however, we already have the full specs and price of this series. This same is true of the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S22 series.

In recent years, there have been numerous leaks of Apple’s new products. Most of these leaks come from the supply chain. Not only Apple, Samsung’s new products also leak before the official release. For example, the upcoming Galaxy Z Fold3 and Galaxy Z Flip 3, some details of these new foldable smartphones are already online.

To this end, Samsung is taking measures to severely crackdown on leakers. Today, Samsung issued a warning to suppliers to prohibit the leakage of new products. According to reports, Samsung is rigorously investigating the leakers in its supply chain. The company is also issuing copyright statements to its supply chain in case of any violation. To this end, many of the leaks regarding Samsung devices will probably disappear in the next few days. However, this does not mean third-party blogs that already have these leaks will delete them also.

Most suppliers now have access to important information from mobile phone manufacturers. To ensure that information is not leaked, companies should attach great importance to information security and data protection, reasonably control terminal operation applications, and establish a complete audit and early warning system.

Apple requires employees to wear a body camera

According to a recent report, the company will make some of its employees wear “police-grade” body cameras. This is the latest effort from the company to curtail leaks of proprietary information.

wear body camera

According to Front Page Tech, some not all Apple employees will have to wear body cameras. FPT reports “The company has taken this new dramatic step to ensure that its hardware trade secrets stay out of the hands of leakers,”.

Like we said above, not all Apple employees will wear a body camera. Probably, only employees with access to proprietary hardware information will have to wear this gadget. Nevertheless, it is important to note that there is no information on the number of body cameras that an employee will have to wear.

The irony here is that this report is also a leak which implies that even the body cameras may not stop internal information from leaking. As of now, we don’t know how Apple intends to use the body camera to stop leaks. An employee can simply memorize the bottom – line of the document without even looking at the document. How will the body camera stop this?
